Questions people ask

Is my payment safe?

For splitting and tracking bills, Rentr never touches your money — you keep paying your share the way you already do, and Rentr calculates the fair split and tracks who's paid. Once Autopay is live, payment details will be handled by a licensed payment processor, not stored or touched by Rentr directly.

When does the landlord get paid?

Once every roommate's share for the month is marked paid, Rentr combines them into a single payout — so your landlord or utility company gets one clean payment instead of several separate ones, on your house's usual due date.

What if a roommate doesn't pay?

Rentr flags the bill and shows exactly who's still pending, so nobody has to guess or chase anyone down over text. Automatic reminders for a late roommate are on the roadmap, owned by our notifications team.

For landlords & property managers

How does the consolidated payout work?

Instead of collecting rent from each roommate separately, you receive one combined payment for the full amount once everyone in the house has paid their share.

Do I need an account?

No. You keep receiving payment the way you already do — Rentr only changes how roommates coordinate and combine their share on their end.

Is this a lease guarantee?

No. Rentr is a bill-splitting and payment-coordination tool, not a guarantee, insurance product, or co-signer — it doesn't guarantee that rent will be paid in full or on time.

Who do I contact about a payment issue?

Email popscoutmktg4250@gmail.com and we'll help sort it out.
